Paintings x Gwen Meyerson

Gwen Meyerson has a fantastic portfolio of paintings. Her pieces are inspired by photos that she snaps of street scenes. She then composes her paintings, using artistic license to create colorful, "lively, often edgy, depictions of urban living."
As a Clevelander (being all to familiar with snow), I am also drawn to her snow-scaped paintings of the city street. This painting perfectly depicts that quiet chill of a snowy street. The snow muffles all of the normal sounds that we hear - creating a peaceful, cozy, calm.

Drawings & Prints x The Dancing Cat

As said best by owner/artist, Jamie Shelman... "simplicity is greatly underestimated."

Boy is that true... because I just adore "The Dancing Cat" drawings & prints. They are very minimal, in a cool, unique, kind of quirky/comical way. I love the various little positions Jamie depicts here cats in.

"Cat Stretch" is my favorite! Funny thing is if you have a cat you know that they are quite strange little creatures! There is something about these simple little illustrations that makes me smile :)

Bird Collages x Michelle Brunner

I absolutely LOVE these Bird Collages by Michelle Brunner. She has created an entire series of them! They are energetic, colorful, cheery, vibrant, expressive and oh so "artsy!" Even on screen, they look 3d... you can see the cut papers, paint daubs and variety of materials used in her collages.
My artwork reflects my admiration and love for color and my natural surroundings. I am inspired by fabrics, patterns, and anything organic. I love every color and often have to stop myself from going over the top in my paintings and collages. My past artworks have mainly been landscapes from my travels and from observation. My bird series collage/ paintings are inspired from my love for the artist Eric Carle and my garden. In the summer my art studio overlooks my garden. A finch, blue jay and cardinal family frequent my garden’s birdbath and fountain. Watching these innocent, beautiful creature inspired my series immensely. - Michelle Brunner
I think her collages would look amazing in any room! Check out her sites below:
